Who we are

Tamiko Technologies Private Limited ("Tamiko", "we", "us") runs tamiko.club, the Tamiko mobile apps, and a try‑before‑you‑buy beauty service where products are tried at home, either with a Tamiko BPC expert or through a Discovery Kit. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, Tamiko Technologies Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service.

• Tamiko Club and waitlist details: your name, mobile number, email (if you give it), area and the categories you're interested in.
• Booking details: your address, preferred slots, the products you choose to try and the ones you buy.
• Beauty preferences you share: such as skin type, shade, scent preferences, or a sensitivity you tell us about so your expert can choose suitable products. Share these only if you want to; you can still use Tamiko without them.
• Payment information: payments are handled by our payment partners. We receive confirmation of the payment and limited details such as the last four digits of a card or a UPI reference. We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as device type, browser and pages visited, used to keep the site working and understand what's useful.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or chat.

How we use it

• To add you to the waitlist and tell you when Tamiko opens in your area.
• To schedule visits and deliveries, send confirmations and reminders, and share your expert's name and arrival time.
• To prepare the right products and testers for your visit or kit.
• To take payment for what you keep and issue invoices.
• To handle questions, complaints and replacements.
• To keep our customers and experts safe and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To improve our selection and service, using aggregated or de‑identified information where possible.
• To send you offers and updates, only if you've agreed. You can opt out at any time.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you join the waitlist or make a booking, and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as meeting legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to run the service:

• Your Tamiko expert or delivery partner, who receives your name, address, slot and order so they can reach you.
• Service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, messaging, payment processing and analytics, under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
• Brands, only in aggregated form that doesn't identify you (for example, how many people tried a scent), unless you specifically agree otherwise.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until we launch in your area and for a reasonable time after, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Booking and payment records are kept as long as required by tax and accounting laws. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Under Indian data protection law you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
• Ask us to erase it, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but we may not be able to provide the service without some data.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
• Raise a grievance with us, and if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email contact@tamiko.club. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls and limited access for staff and experts. No system is perfectly secure, so if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we'll inform you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Cookies

tamiko.club uses only what's needed for the site to work and, if enabled, basic analytics to understand visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Children

Tamiko is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared data with us, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know by email or message.
